Excursion description
Cheremshansky waterfall is one of the most beautiful, hard to reach and wide waterfalls, located in Tomarinsky district, on the Yellow River. The waterfall is 13 meters high and 30 meters wide. On the way to the waterfall we stop at the Torii Gate. Torii Gate marks the sacred territory of the Shinto temple HigashiSiraura Inari jinja, which was opened in 1914. The gate bears the inscription “In honor of the 2600th anniversary of the founding of Great Japan” – this mythological date was widely celebrated in 1940. The upper platform offers an excellent view of the village, the sea, and the hills. Seals can be seen through binoculars installed here.
Up to the Cheremshansky waterfall the road goes through the forest, difficult ascents, rivers. The road is for real fans of jeep tours. We recommend this trip in the summer season.
